Meet Matt Smith

Matt is a leader in health and performance with over 17 years of experience coaching athletes and guiding rehabilitation.

He began coaching strength and conditioning at 19, later earning his doctorate in chiropractic from Palmer West, where he graduated valedictorian with Magna Cum Laude honors. His training exposed him to world-class methods such as Active Release Technique, DNS, SFMA, PRI, and more.

Matt has worked across elite performance and clinical environments, including Stanford University and the renowned Train 4 The Game facility in Austin, TX, where he collaborated with NCAA Division I, NFL, NBA, and PGA athletes. He has also led health and wellness initiatives as a consultant to some of the largest companies in Silicon Valley.

In 2015, he founded EverAthlete, pioneering a model that integrated performance training and injury rehabilitation under one roof. The company has since evolved into a leading digital platform serving thousands of athletes worldwide.

Today, Matt is recognized as a leading performance and rehabilitation expert for endurance athletes, with a particular focus on cycling. His athletes have captured World and National Championship titles, delivered standout performances at the Olympic Games in Tokyo and Paris, and competed at the highest levels of the sport, including the UCI Pro Tour and the Lifetime Grand Prix. In addition, he serves on the sports medicine team for Stanford University Track & Field.

An avid surfer, trail runner, cyclist, and triathlete, Matt continues to test his own limits, completing challenges such as the Rim-to-Rim-to-Rim run across the Grand Canyon and Ironman California. He lives in Santa Cruz, CA, with his wife, Lauren, and daughter, Mia.
